Project: upgrade from 2016 Std to 2018 Adv. In a nutshell, the client wants to start and end on their current production server. The procedure they are looking at is is:
1. Install 2018 on a VM on a separate physical server, migrate, test, and Go Live.
2. Wipe the original server, make it a VM server, and move the 2018 VM back to that box.
Ideally, step 2 is transparent to the Sage 100 environment (i.e. no installation, workstation setup, etc) will be necessary. Does this procedure make sense and look workable?
