  • 1.  program name pops up, no other error

    I am just positive someone else posted about this, but I lack the right search terms.  Client moved to a new server and one machine, which apparently has been a pistol in the past anyway, will login into Sage but when you click on anything, the program name pops up and that's it.

    They created a new profile, and have turned off the AV.  Don't know where to point them next.

    Maybe a corrupt workstation record for that machine...try renaming it

    And now this morning it is doing it on all of them - just popping up and showing AR_CUSTOMER_UI when they try to get into Customer Maintenance, for example.

    SOOOOO - yeah, it looks like MAYBE this was a network guys issue from the night before.  Now that we've figured out the timing of everything - they had one last workstation that wasn't playing well with the new server and think that possibly they started to delete and accidentally did the delete on the server, not workstation.  And it makes sense - AP and AR had issues, IM, SO, etc did not (if the delete started alphabetically).

    This happened to one of my clients last week.  Unfortunately, it was the Sage HRMS tech person who was clueless.  Very embarrassing.  His damage was so extensive that they had to do a full restore from 11:06 AM.  Kudos to client's tech team with getting the restore done.  All was good after that.
