My client needs to upgrade from v2020 to v2023 and at the same time will be "dropping" Scanco add-on's and will be moving to ScanForce.  We really want them on a Sage PM Version, not the JT Versions of Production Management.  If I move them to v2023, I understand I need to make a "hop" to v2021, first.  And if I install v2023 on their application server (64-Bit) will that break their v2020; or will they be "OK" for the short term while piloting and getting ready to Go Live with v2023?  I thought I understood that if I installed a 64-Bit Sage 100 version, then old versions won't work at 32-Bit.  Suggestions, Ideas, Thoughts?

Install 2021 & 2023 as 32-bit.  That option is not going away anytime soon (AFAIK).
If you want to switch to 64-bit later, the change not hard... but you'll break previous versions if you go to 64-bit too early.

Phew... for some reason, I thought v2023 was 64-Bit only, and I started to re-think my game plan.  I'm good!  Thanks @Kevin Moyes

    No problem!
If there was any doubt, Sage put the switch utility in with the system install files, right beside autorun.exe.

Wait, did I miss something? Is it required to "hop" to 2021 when upgrading from Scanco's J/T to Sage P/M?  We are not able upgrade directly from 2020 to 2022 or 2023?

I think there were two questions here:

    1. What path can be taken for a PM upgrade when moving from Scanco's version of PM ( aka JT ) to the Sage version
    2. What is the implication of switching Sage from 32-bit to 64-bit

It's still early days but I think both of these questions potentially will be of interest to many in the group

Yes, it's required, for the data conversion.
    Reference link.

Edit: When upgrading from the ScanCo version of PM to the Sage version, you have to step through v2021.  If you are starting on WO, with no JT module, you don't need the middle step.

Thanks for clarifying that!  I also missed that tidbit, and it will be important when planning/quoting upgrades.
