1. Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a Sage 100 Production Management v2022 manual? I suspect this doesn't yet exist.
2. In lieu of the above, does anyone have any insight into how PM copies the steps and materials when a new work ticket is created? Here is what my testing appears to show:
- If a template does not exist, it copies from the bill of material.
- If a template exists, it ignores the template and copies from the bill of material.
- If a template exists and it is filled in in the Template field in Item Maintenance or Bill of Materials, it is copied into the Template fireld on the work ticket and then Sage 100
doubles the materials, appearing to copy the template plus the bill.
3. If this is how it really works, then I'm assuming if there is a BOM, that supersedes all other sources, and that templates are only copied if bills don't exist. But this means miscellaneous items cannot be copied onto the WT because bills only accept miscellaneous charges. And what if, for a particular WT, I don't want to copy from the bill but from the template (or a different template) instead?
4. In v2021 there was a Copy from icon and you could choose to copy from any bill, any template, or any open/closed WT. In v2022 the only options are open or closed WT.
5. I would love to get this sorted out before my Friday training session!
Any insight would be appreciated.
