    ​I'm a bit disappointed that todays' Sage Product Preview of Production Management, did not include a preview.  Am I the only one that feels this way?

    ​Yes, I agree. When we reached about 20 minutes into it, I thought it was over, and was surprised we went the whole hour. None if this seems very formal to me. I would have liked to see a comparison matrix of the versions. How hard could that be?

    This was 100% a Charlie Brown moment of someone of stealing the football right before the kick.  We will all prepped and had expectations to see the new product..  at least some screen shots and actual features...   It should of been titled  Sage Production Management Beta program  roll-out.

    ​If you want to be involved in the Production Management Project, and have not received an email and the NDA from Linda Cade you should reach out to her personally.  I received my email yesterday then when I returned the document, a response confirming it was received. 

    The email also contains a link to a recurring meeting event that will take place every Friday through March 22, 2019 at 1pm EST.

    Yes, it took place Friday afternoon.  Only those that returned a signed NDA document will receive a User ID and Logon, to the cloud server where they will host this "in development" product.  I have to say, the changes I saw for moving Work Order to "JobOps" lite, looked good.  I will know more when I get a chance to play around.  However, the naming conventions they are requiring may be difficult for end users to process.  (Operation Codes to Activities, Routings to Templates, etc.)  Reach out to Linda Cade if you want to be involved.

    The biggest questions I have are:  What partner training will be available, and what will be the learning curve be like for us to be able to help existing WO customers upgrade, when we've never used JobOps before?

    ​Great question I have not seen answered.  I believe this process they are calling the "Production Management Preview" is a great way to be trained on the new product.  If you have not registered to be part of the Friday 1-hour calls each week; I highly recommend doing so.  Each week they intend to go through a component of the application, and show how it works.  (train how it works?).

    ​The standard answer about training and support for existing WO resellers and customers has been that the WO data will be converted to Production Management. That does not answer the question. Since the underlying system is JobOps, in most cases this needs to be treated like a new implementation. This has not formally been addressed.

    ​Communication prior to the call today was non-existent and the session was practically a waste of time due to the technical issues and less than ideal audio. And now the Azure access to the test system is delayed until next week.

    I feel that Scanco and Sage need to take this much more seriously than they are. The 70+ people on the calls are important and have many more priorities, so we need these calls to be worthwhile.

    It reminded me of the time I had to demo something I'd never seen before.  Fly through fast and read some drop downs out loud.  I felt for him. 
    But wasn't this billed as "Partner training?"  As fast as that went, there's no way I would consider it training.  The casual conversation before they realized the webinar had begun was fun. :-P
