  • 1.  Production Management link between serial number and work ticket

    I am trying to find a way to link a serial number from a completed work ticket entry to the work ticket number and striking out.  The only references in the item cost and lot/serial transaction history are the Transaction Number that the completion was processed on - the work order module did the same thing.  I can dig through paperless office and eventually get to the work ticket number but that's not a good solution.  ACS had an enhancement that put the work order number in that field but apparently that didn't make it to Production Management.

    I have a script that I used in Work Order to comb through the WO9 file, find the serial number and return the work order number.  I was trying to do the same thing in PM but I can't find a file that has a record containing both the serial number and the work ticket number.  I have looked in:
    JT_TransactionHistory
    JT_TransactionLotSerialHistory - only contains info for serial numbers USED on a work ticket
    JT_WorkTicketHistoryDetail
    JT_WorkTicketHistoryStep

    Hoping someone out there has tracked this down, maybe in Job Ops?

    The IM_ItemTransactionHistory contains the WT details, seems like you could link this to the Lot/Serial Transaction History table.

    @Lisa Dion - I see the WT number in the IM_ItemTransactionHistory and was able to put that on the transactions tab in item maintenance and that will definitely help.  What they really want is to start with the serial number and get back to the work ticket and I'm still striking out there.  I can't get from the Lot/Serial Transaction History back to the work ticket.  I would like to just push the work ticket number to the IM_ItemCost table but can't do that either because the Production Management update tasks aren't listed in custom office.  Not sure if this is related to @Robert Osborn point about the PM DD's not being available or not but it's a giant PITA.

    I would use a report until the update tasks in PM are available in custom office. Kind of a pain for the user but you could link these tables and prompt them to enter the serial number.

    Hi Bernie,
      They have not yet made the PM dictionaries available.  I talked to Sage/Scanco about this months ago and still no joy..    We wanted to do an Expiration Date for lots & it works everywhere EXCEPT in PM where they actually need it..
