Production Management Installation

    So we took the plunge and for testing purposes installed 2019 new but do not see Production Management on the menu - what am I missing?  Did Sage say it was a separate install somewhere?  We see Work Order.

    Yes you need to get the install files from Scanco.  They will provide you with the install

    According to Scanco there is a link in the 2019 installer under the Productivity applications section that leads to a Scanco download page.

    The regular work order and MRP will come installed with v2019. ScanCo has not finished their integration. Darin said it wasn't coming out until June-July ( they don't have a date last i spoke with them) then you can implement the modules into 2019

    I would be weary of implementing those right off the bat and wait for other consultants to be the "beta testers" to get the kinks worked out. It may be a lite version of JobOps, but still different. I see "payroll 2.0" issues all over again for this production management module. Plus someone (sage?) is coming out with a conversion tool, sounds promising. Again, I would wait. Until you get more feedback

    I agree @Erin Oldaker with your thought about waiting for a while before installing PM.  I am glad I wasn't an early adopter of payroll 2.0.  Holy smokes, payroll issues are blood pressure raisers.  ​Issues with inventory cost roll-up and valuation aren't far behind payroll on the anxiety meter.

    I'd rather be warned of the hard truth in clear terms, instead of "nice" ambiguity. 

    The no-uninstall is harsh, but good to know.
