Product Enhancement Program - Appears that everytime you install a Product Update, you have to turn this ""feature"" off!!!! One wonders why they can't leave this switch at whatever setting it was prior to installing the PU the second time. Nope, have to turn it off everytime.

FYI to anyone wondering, the option can be turned off by logging into MAS as Administrator and accessing the PEP Option at the bottom of the Admin menu screen.

Which is my point!

If you cannot log in as administrator, you can edit the SY_System file via DFDM to turn it off that way.

I have posted this on the enhancement request site. Everybody go vote for it!

Just isn't obvious how to turn it off.

FYI - I just tested installing v4.50 PU2 after having disabled PEP and I did NOT find that the ""Participated In Program"" had been checked off after I previously opted-out. Looks as if this ""re-enroll"" may have been fixed/changed. Or at the least I was unable to duplicate: a. Opting out of PEP b. Install PU2 c. Seeing that I was re-enrolled in PEP (I remained opted-out)

FYI - this option has to be turned on for some (maybe all?) enhancements to install (ACS multi-bin for instance). Took me a while to find it, and then to find the admin password for the client - just so I could install an update for multi-bin. Big pain - I will vote for you enhancement request Phil!

I guess not all enhancements - JobOps instructions for 4.40 R3 say to run MAS in between installing 4.40.07 and JobOps specifically to turn it OFF.

Weill I just installed on my MAS 200 v4.5 and the PEP did not turn itself back on. I will have to test on MAS 90 also. I also wonder if it is an issue with v4.4 as that was the version I installed originally. Or perhaps, I am suffering early onset of half heimers.....
