Probably a stupid question. Having extreme difficulty installing the sage client on a WIN 10 workstation. In the help, it says to run the pvxcom.exe on the local workstation. That doesn't seem to work. The help then goes on to say that you can run it from the server. Where exactly is the file located? Run PVXCOM prior to installing Sage 100 ERP Workstation: 1.Via Windows Explorer, browse to the folder containing the executable file: ?For 64-bit operating systems: C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Sage\Common Components ?For 32-bit operating systems: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Sage\Common Components **?Note: If pvxcom.exe cannot be found on the workstation, the Sage 100 server's com.exe file can be accessed and run from the workstation.** 2.Right-click the pvxcom.exe, select ""Run as Administrator

I see that is a bit confusing. I've found the file on the server, C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Sage\Common Components. Expect you would have to be logged in as a (network) administrator to access it, though, from the workstation.

The PVX Object init failed - WIN 10 workstation - UAC off, logged on as network administrator after a fresh reboot. v2015, latest PU Anti virus was supposed to have been deactivated. Still not working. Additional thoughts?

Try stopping the print spooler service. I've seen that work.

Are you running from the UNC path?

We've done it both ways. UNC and a mapped drive. Both blow.

Brain freeze day ala @LarryBradford yesterday. Helps if you use the correct port number.
