@Diana Laughner, you led me down the right path. This Sage KB got me the rest of the way.
Paperless Office printing prompts manually for PDF location after Windows updates installed
|
<content></content>
When printing to Paperless Office on a workstation that had recent Windows updates, the Sage 100 PDF Converter is prompting for a path to create the PDF.
The Windows Regisry entry in HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\SOFTWARE\ for Sage 100 PDF Converter is either incomplete (missing Configurations folder, or partial entry in Jobs folder) or missing completely.
<content></content>
In some cases, it has been found that the Windows Registry keys being created/updated on the specific machine are incorrectly under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ for the Sage 100 PDF Converter and cause the Sage 100 PDF Converter to not function properly.
(Windows Registry keys for the Sage 100 PDF Converter should be under HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\SOFTWARE\)

@Jeff Schwenk not sure exactly, but he said there was an IP address involved, which he resolved. Also, something with the Print Spooler.

Barbara, check for an updated Amyuni print driver. Windows recently updated a newer version that needs to be removed. Version should be 6.0.1.1

IT resolved that problem, but now there's a new one. When printing a register, instead of going to Paperless, it pops a window prompting for a filename. What could be causing this issue?

I have seen reports that the May Windows 10 updates could introduce major printer headaches...

Thanks! I sent that KB article to their IT provider yesterday, so he still has work to do. By the way, I just got an update that not only does Sage lose the printers, but other apps do as well, so it's definitely environmental.

The attached KB I've found helpful in resolving this issue.

Deferred printing also shows when the workstation loses authentication for the MAS90 path (to access the report files). Opening a Windows Explorer session (mapped drive / UNC) to renew authentication with the server sometimes fixes that issue for us.
