Printer driver: Customer is upgrading to v2014 from v4.50. We are trying to install a printer HP4250N with multiple trays. When I add the printer for a direct tcip instead of using the server, the driver does not recognize all the trays. It looks as if it only has 2 trays. Sage recommended to the customer to try a universal print driver, but I have not heard back yet. Of course we can't upgrade until I can fully test with a Windows 7 professional 64bit machine. The invoices are printing, but when it comes to the last try, it pulls from the manual tray. Tray 3 is disabled. And we can't enable. It is all in the driver. Any other suggestions?

Is it an optional tray? Maybe you need to enable it in the printer driver? I remember having to add additional equipment that way in the past.

FWIW - I have had this issue on other HP printers and the universal printer driver did resolve the issue.

Sometimes the enable/disable tray options are buried in the Device Settings in the driver itself. If that's not there, and a universal driver doesn't work, then the other option is to create multiple identical printers and set the default trays for each one.
