  • 1.  'print from preview' issue and can't open memo attachments - Wacky

    So here's a wacky one:  
    •    When run Sage 100 'as administrator', no issue 'printing from preview', but can't open memo attachments (nothing happens).
    •    When run Sage 100 regularly, 'print from preview' issue is present (see below), but can open memo attachments.

    This really only seems to be an issue when trying to print from a Sage 100 'preview' screen.  Can print normally from Sage 100 no problem.  And can print to that printer fine from Word and Excel.  Also, the below issue occurs regardless of the printer selected.

    This is happening for two users.  Already checked rights/permissions, and uninstalled/reinstalled workstation setup.  Haven't yet tried logging into the computer as a different user.  Possible bad Windows Profiles?  Antivirus?

    Microsoft had something about it on Win 11 and told you to stop/restart the print spooler after updating the printer drivers and if that didn't work "roll back to your previous version of Windows". That is not one of those warm and fuzzy replies.

    When you run as Admin, are you entering alternate credentials in a pop-up?  That definitely changes the security context of some processes, and that alternate login might be missing something...

    I'll def consider that, @Beth Bowers.  @Kevin Moyes, we're not entering an alternate admin logon, but since you so coincidentally mentioned Threatlocker in Jane's post, I'm wondering if that somehow has a hand in this.  Threatlocker can be very strict/intrusive, so maybe we need to take that out of the equation to help isolate.
