Pricing question: Sage Alerts/Knowledgesync

  • 1.  Pricing question: Sage Alerts/Knowledgesync

When you purchase connections - is an additional connection purchase needed for each Sage 100cloud company code?

I don't think this is the case - I think it's for the SOTAMAS90 then if you wanted to use with Access DB you purchase another connection, etc

Does the workflow module have any relevance to Sage 100cloud? If so, how are people using this?

What are the Client Access Licenses used for that you can't do by RDP to the server?

    TIA

In answer to your last question - What are the Client Access Licenses used for that you can't do by RDP to the server? - it allows users to go into KS and make modifications without RDP'ing to the server. Allays the worries of many IT people!

You will need to tell KS how many sage company codes you have. They will give you a special license to match so you can create an access database for each one.

    Thanks,

Here’s what I think I’m hearing. The connectors are per database source. SOTAMAS90 is one, SQL another, Access, etc

The way Don stated it to me back in 2017 was "There is currently no extra cost for monitoring multiple companies in Sage 100, but the client will need a special "multi-company" license. " and he said he needed to know how many companies the client needed. I notice that the registered company name, when we do this, have "MASx:" where x is the number of MAS companies, followed by the registered company name and "/SYNONYM" at the end.

This is my understanding of this, too. 1 connection is also for inbound email monitoring, too.

For sure the training videos available on the KS/SAW website and Don's Youtube videos. Although, they are all for v9 and previous. The new videos are still a work in progress.

As you see, 30-day trial is automatic. off the website.
However, it is a big product. The videos are a decent orientation for the right user, and the product packs they offer are a good way for that person to play around with it to start.

If the user is not comfortable with at least putting logic into spreadsheets, they will likely give up. Best to have them buy a 2-hr walk-through/coaching session from you.

The other thing that they must do: start small and digest the experience. It is far to easy to set up alerts that swamp people in emails/texts so that nobody pays attention to them.
