Preview a report, Select to Export, Select Format of ""Microsoft Excel Workbook Data-Only' and Destination of 'Application' and click OK, don't change any of the Options, click OK. I and customers get the 'Sage 100 ERP has Stopped Working'. If we choose Destination of Disk File, it works. Is there a way to fix this? Various recent versions, standard and advanced. Frustrating!

Started getting that same error when my machine was ""upgraded"" to Windows X. still haven't found out the problem or a solution.

I always select the Excel 97-2003 data only. Might be worth a try.

Jeff - yes that does work, but was hoping maybe there was a fix. Customers read 97-2003 and think, Well, I'm on 2016 and use the other one. It should work.

Good to know. I had never used anything but that one. Old dog, new tricks...... Interestingly enough, I just tested on my WIN 8 LT with Excel 2013 32 bit and the v2016 report opens for me.

    I'm thinking this may be a 32-bit / 64-bit issue...

@Kevin Moyes - Excel 32/64 bit or Machine? My Excel is 32 bit v2016, machine is 64 bit. Most recent customer's system is the same as mine but is W7 64 bit.

I was thinking that the 32-bit program was having difficulty exporting to a 64-bit application.

Haven't tried it yet in 2017, however, I spent my nickel and called Sage. They claim this is an Excel thing and probably due to permissions on the folder where Temp files are held and we should just use 'Destination = Disk' and forget about it! They claim to check the 'Windows/Temp' permissions. I spent some time on it and Googling where Excel holds Temp Files but couldn't find anything real helpful. So maybe this will give some of you an idea of where to look and check on permissions and let the rest of us know?
