Great job Alnoor. Since Server 2022 is supported, is this a bug in the Sage installation package? Seems it should check and install all missing prerequisites.

Problem fixed. I remoted in with Andrea. The "prepare error" was causing the installer to roll back most of what it installed but the Windows Installer Log that appears at the end as an optional thing to review had some good clues:
InstallShield Error extracting ISBEW64.exe ... File does not exist
then later
InstallShield Error loading ISBEW64.exe ... File does not exist
Then once Andrea said this is a brand new Windows Server 2022 (DC edition) o/s, I suspected an older .NET Framewok wasn't installed or one of the older MS Redistributable packages wasn't installed. I had zip file of MS Redistributables ready to go but 1st tried installing .NET Framewok 3.5 from Control Panel / Programs and Feature. Now the Sage installer worke without the "Prepare error"

They never had AV on this machine. I always right-click autorun.exe and run as admin. Thanks so much Kevin, really appreciate all suggestions!

Did you extract the installer after disabling your AV software? It could be scrubbing required files from the unzipped folder.
Right-click Autorun.exe and Run As Admin.

I'd suspect a bad download of the install files. Clear your browser cache and download again from Sage.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions, still getting the error. I updated UAC per @Kevin Moyes suggestion. Turned of firewall, no AV running. Made sure permissions for install file as well as install location were full control. Gave Everyone full control. Here is the log file ...

I always disable UAC with the registry hack, reboot, then do the install. Set the EnableLUA value to 0 (zero).
