Prediction: The Sage Education Department will melt down from March 1 to 31, 2012 as 90% of the partner community attempts to call and ask why they've suddenly been de-certified by Sage. This whole certification process is a nightmare. It will be interesting to see if Sage knows any more after March 1, 2012 about who is certified and who isn't than it did before March 1, 2012... In some odd way my brain says that this is a full employment act for the people who work in Sage education/certification.

In some odd way my brain says that this is a full employment act for the people who work in Sage education/certification."" As much as that may be true, let's not forget that it was also a quick revenue booster for Sage.... all those clases and all those tests weren't exactly free. I'm guessing that the average cost to each consultant wortldwide was probbaly around $1000. Multiply that times (at lesat) a few hundred consultants and all of a sudden Sage's quarterly revenue numbers look alot better!

I though so too, but came across this paragraph on SageU: ""Sage ERP MAS 90 and 200 Certified Consultants, as of December 1, 2011 were required to pay the $650 Annual Certified Consultant Program Renewal Fee for the 2012 Program in order to access the recertification requirements and maintain certification status. Payment of the renewal fee provides to the recertification requirements, which must be completed by April 30, 2012.

Here's what I see: Obtaining Competency Roles Certified Consultants must enroll in the program and pay the initial program fee for each competency role. Upon confirmation of enrollment, consultants receive access to all training required for the competency role along in addition to 5 complimentary support cases which will be provide to the partner of record. Consultants have 120 days after enrollment into the program to complete the competency role requirements AND: Maintaining Certification - Consultant Renewals Existing Sage ERP MAS 90 and 200 Certified Consultants are required to pay a $650 Annual Certified Consultant Program Renewal Fee on or before December 1st each year in order to maintain certification. This program fee provides access to MAS 90 and 200 Recertification requirements for the following Program Year and 10 complimentary support cases. So when you first become certified, you get 5 support cases but when you renew, you get 10?? Did I miss something earlier? I did not see any time limits for assessments/renewals at SageU. Where did you see that @MarkKotyla?

Go to SageU and select Certifications | Accounting ERP | Sage ERP MAS 90 and 200. Under the ""Maintaining Certification"" section, click on the ""Renew Your Certified Consultant Program for 2012"" picture. http://sageu.com/ns_acs/bp/mas90_renew_home.html
