PRD file not showing up on data dictionary for a client. I've rerun wksetup (Admin.exe, run as admin). ODBC security not turned on. Oh, wait - maybe I should turn it on, check, then turn if back off. ANYWAY, supposing that it isn't ODBC either - where in the heck is it?

Does the client have any payroll modifications? We have a client that had a payroll mod that messed up the data dictionary. Had to get the developer to correct it.

Thanks @DawnKulbacki - I'll check. I've never worked with the end user before...

Does the PRDXXX.soa file physically exist in the PRXXX folder?

Yes, the file exists and I get no error when I access Earnings Code Maintenance or Deduction Code Maintenance. They have 2 companies, too.

Can you make a copy, manually reinit it, then restore original?

The file isn't the problem - it's that it doesn't show up in the ODBC data dictionary so I can use it in Crystal.

If they do not have any PR mods, have you tried replacing the PR data dicts from another system?

Hm - one thing I did NOT try was creating a UDF and letting it rebuild the data dictionary.... DOH. Next time I login I'll try that.
