When upgrading to v2018 or higher with Payroll, the pre-Migration process includes the 'Payroll Missing Employee Listing' which analyzes for missing employees, i.e. "This report lists employees who have no record in Employee Maintenance but are referenced in other files. If you want to migrate the existing records for any of these employees to your new instance of Sage 100, recreate the records in Employee Maintenance before migrating your data".
