    ​Has anyone else ever encountered this message or want to hazard a guess how to get past it?

    The following conversion record failed while converting XXX:\02.17.00.00:DATA:PR_ConvertToFramework:000000:000: You are not authorized to access this employee

    We are upgrading from 2016 to 2019 (PR 2.19.4) Sage 100 Standard.

    Can't get to Department Maintenance until company data is converted, and I'm pretty sure departments were not being used.​

    Does the role assigned to the user id running the conversion have all rights to Payroll?

    I would check the source install for Department security.  At least 1 department is required for processing.

    Let me amend -
    There was only 1 department (00) and 4 users had security to it. When the data migrated to the new version, there was only 1 record left in PR_DepartmentSecurit.M4T. I didn't know this until looking in DFDM, at which point I manually added the record I needed and now we're off to the races.​
