This is a new one! State of Iowa issued a revised W-4 so client required their employees to complete the new form. Three employees responded with large # of personal exemptions. Now when taxes are calculated, the Sage tax engine computes a NEGATIVE state taxe (-$500). A nice way to get an early refund but reality will set in on tax day.
Has anyone else noticed anomalies with the tax calculator engine?
Will probably open a case with Sage to put them on alert.
