  • 1.  Possible board candidates I have approached - Gary

Possible board candidates I have approached - Gary Feldman, John Hoyt, Jerry Norman and Myron Stevenson. All are willing to serve. Myron would like to defer his candidacy for a year as he has another year to go with another board role. The only woman that I can think of (besides Moira) might be Madelyn Stefanou. Does anyone know her?? I am trying to identify STRATEGIC thinkers for the board. We have plenty of tactical thinkers that would make excellent committee members.

Shawn Slavin would be good if he can carve out the time. He'd be my first pick.

Shawn was on my list as well but I did not follow through as I felt he is quite busy. I will give him a ring.

Have left several messages for Shawn and have received no response from him. Left another today. I think we need to move on filling the board to get it back to full strength, then move forward. I am working on membership dues for the ""old timers"" this month and then will work on the second wave or renewals in October. We also just signed up a new affiliate member for 2017 (attached). Need to figure out who is going to be in chair the affiliate committee as well.

Bringing this back to the top. As I indicated in late August, Gary, John and Jerry are all interested in serving on the board. All in my opinion think strategically and would make excellent members. I also talked to Moira some time back and she would rather not be part of the board, but rather serve on committees where her ability to be compensated is far greater.
