Poll - How do you presently bill clients? I cannot remember if we have done a poll recently on this topic.

Estimating 20-30% more revenue by value bill -- -and I enjoy it quite a bit more which is important.

I completely agree -- more revenue this way.

Strange as it seems I like the freedom to work until the customer is happy without worrying about another day of hourly billing. If I go over two days - so long as it is part of what I said that I was going to do - who cares. Some engagements you make more. Some less.

Johnny, you shouldn't put ""value billing"" and Kless in the same sentence. Value billing is mail fraud.

Service contracts are great if the firm is 100% salaried employees. We're trying to figure out to include hourly contractor's into the mix. We have a 50/50 mix of salaried and independent contractors.

@BillPfahnl You have to work it as a percent of fixed. If you figure out another hourly way that works let me know. Probably a monthly basis somehow. I'd also somehow incent add-on work at a higher rate.
