  • 1.  PO Receipt of Goods error 40

    Customer had a receipt of goods update interrupted. He tried to restart and gets an error 40 Divide check or numeric overflow referencing PO_PurchaseOrderHistory.pvc  then he gets another error about SY_SalesTaxScheduleDetail.m4t does not have correct permissions. I also get the error so I don't think it's permissions. I rebuilt PO_PurchaseOrderHistoryDetail and three records came back with errors, all referencing a PO in the receipt of goods. Nothing in the KB that I can find. Anyone have any ideas?? TIA

    If the PO receipt data entry files are empty you may try reinitializing 
    • PO_ReceiptDetail
    • PO_ReceiptHeader
    • PO_ReceiptReturnMatRqByPO
    • PO_ReceiptTaxAllocation
    • PO_ReceiptTaxDetail
    • PO_ReceiptTaxSummary
    • PO_ReceiptTierDistribution

    It seems to help a lot of issues related to orphaned records.

    Yes, but they are not empty and it was in the middle of the update. Part was written to PO history detail and who knows what all else?

    you may try temporarily turning of PO History - tab 7 in PO Options.

    @Therese Logeais try locating any record in the  ​PO_ReceiptTaxDetail table that are for a Receipt entry that has not posted - you may have to look at the entry table in DFDM.  Seems like it is trying to create a sales tax record that already exists.  Hope it is that easy!

    @Michelle Taylor I see three records in the PO_ReceiptTaxDetail table but they are not for today's receipt. Are you suggesting I should delete them?? ​

    If those tax records do to correlate to any Receipt entries, they are leftovers from previous processes, so "yes." But, too, that wouldn't be causing the current error.

    The update has sections that try to divide by the quantity_received and also the UnitMeasureConversionFactor.  If the program tries
    those on where either are zero then that would cause the error 40.  Try to find the line #.​
