Has anyone figured out the logic on this report?  Used at a client?
Did the Receipt History Inquiry changes meet expectations?

This report can be run at a date, unlike the previous versions.  Your example is a good one.  The receipt of invoice isn't reflected on the report because it was after 8-9-2021.

Interesting that the receipt of goods is included because the receipt date is 8-10-2021 and the report date is 8-9-2021. Something doesn't seem right.

Even more "doesn't seem right" is to run the report on 8/10/21 or up to the date of the Invoice Receipt.  Then it excludes the Receipt but includes the Invoice.
I also don't understand why there 2 data fields for the same data.  Or why you can Add but not Delete/Remove a field.

The inability to delete customizations is an long time issue that Linda Cade apparently thinks is not worthy of a fix.  Big Sigh.  The new clearing report options is still buggy  (which is not surprising).  Since they don't do any reseller/end user testing with real data, their ABC data provided enough good feeling for Linda to give a thumbs up.  Hopefully, enough people will complain in the Sage Community to evoke a call to action.

My big question is why write all the lines to the transaction file when only a few have been received.  A lot of clutter in that table.

Glad I found this thread.  I worked with the Purchases Clearing From History Report and cannot figure it out at all.  I reinitialized all the PO files in ABC and started from scratch.  Put in some POs for Dec 2020 and received goods without an invoice on later dates.  The reports are incorrect for any as of date.  I also don't know where it's getting its data from.  Have you made any progress with this?

It appears that the report uses the receipt history files.  If there is any corruption in these files you get bad results.

First thing I have noticed is a number of receiving history items that have no associated purchase order.  They tended to be very old items in the history file  and there appears to be a receipt of goods but no receipt of invoice.  They do not appear on the regular purchases clearing report (I assume because the purchase order no longer exists in purchase order entry).

I used DFDM to clear the receipt of goods entry and that eliminated it from the report.

I'm currently in the process of reviewing other types of problems but I'm assuming that it will be a similar solution.
