P/M v2021 Error during Work Ticket Transaction Register Update

    I have a user who did 'kill task' during the register update. (Don't even get me started.) Now when we try to update, we get:

    GL_FiscalYearDetail does not have correct permissions

    Error #13: File access mode invalid
    Program    JT_WTTransactionRegister_upd.pvc
    Line       3456

    Sage support had me rebuild that key file, which did nothing. Now they're having to find a specialist. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Sage may have been referring to this Sage 100 KB but your error is line 3456, but this may be Sage's version.

    Error: "13 JT_WTTransactionRegister_UPD.PVC 3478" or 3472 occurs when updating the Work Ticket Transaction Register.

    Ref: GL_FiscalYearDetail.M4T

    Resolution

    Rebuild key files to the GL_FiscalYearDetail.M4T file.

    1. Go to Library Master, Utilities, Rebuild Key Files
    2. Select Company Code and select General Ledger as the Module Code
    3. Select GL_FiscalYearDetail.M4T file and click Proceed.

    If the file referenced in the error is JT_WorkTicketLabelPrint.m4t

    1. DFDM JT_TransactionEntryRestart.m4t and remove the record with a blank batch number.

    2. Review the work ticket to confirm if the entry already updated. If it did, do not update the batch again and delete either using DFDM or by reinitializing the WT Transaction Entry files after all other batches have updated.

    If it's Advanced / Premium, you could try resetting the service files... (in case the "kill task" didn't actually release everything properly).

    The only equivalent I know of for Standard (short of rebooting the server) is looking for (and forcing closed) open files, that might have an active lock:

    I had to reboot the server last night before the file rebuild.

    The issue is fixed. Karen McWhirter removed the ONE record (the only one) from JT_TransactionEntryRestart. Then we were able to update.

    There would only be one record in the Restart file -- because the user killed the task that was being updated.  Deleting the restart record is the correct solution.  Same thing happens in Ops Management with the Daily Labor Register update - if the update errors out or the task is killed during the update, then the restart record in the DailyLaborControl file has to be deleted in order to restart the update.
