Anyone have this issue? Client is using Backflush for the Material Issues. When they create a completion, it creates a Material Issue. They then sometimes, before posting, go back into the completion and click the "Close WT" check box. Once they do that, it creates another Material issue. Same happens if you uncheck that box. Hoping there's a fix and I just couldn't find it.

If they want to change from completion to close (or vice versa) before posting, just delete the entry and start again.  I expect a completion technically differs enough from a close (with quantity) that Sage doesn't change between them seamlessly.

Thanks for the reply. Problem with deleting and re-entering is they use Serialized items. If they delete it, they'll need to enter the Serial numbers again. Right now, I just have them deleting the duplicate Issue before they post. The Close option I believe just closes the WT and puts it in History.  They do the close and Completion in 1 entry.

v2023 you can do completions within the Close transactions.  It isn't a checkbox, it is a transaction type.

You can enter the quantity to complete for each WT, within the Close transaction.

    Two steps in one.

Thanks for this. I'm definitely going to show them this way. But I did find out it was a known issue and fixed in Service pack 2 for 2022.

What version of PM?  This was a Scanco PM issue and I thought it was resolved in the Sage PM version?

    Its 2022 SP1. I didn't see a write-up on it.

Going back to what @Kevin Moyes posted. Is there is a specific reason why they need to start this as a completion entry go through those steps? If they want to do the completions and close in one-step, then they should be choosing "Close" as the transaction type. When you do Close as a transaction type and put a quantity completed in on the lines tab it will create the backflush transaction for labor and materials the same as a completion transaction. It acts the same as a completion, but also closes the W/T.

Thank you for this. I originally had them doing completions and then realized they can close during the completion. I didn't think to have them do a close instead. Not sure what the difference would be though. But with that said, I found out this was a known issue and fixed with a service pack. I'll be installing it soon for them. Thank you for your help on this.
