Played around with the Reach API and the admin reporting. It's all so basic to the point of being neat but not useful.
Even the reporting... they show some graphs about usage but you can't drill in to see specific names or details. So... what value do most of them have?
No way to build custom reports.
No way to build custom integration links. Individual messages support custom tags but there is no easy way to create messages with automatic tagging for application linking. Worthless.
Socialcast and Yammer better grow up quickly or folks will build it themselves (like Salesforce with their Chatter application). No real vendor is going to put up with this for long.
Wish I had better news. I am going to make an attempt to reach the SC development group and see if they are at least considering making a deeper API. Considering we had minimal luck getting sales folks to contact us, I have little to no hopes of reaching a technical resource that gives a damn.
