With respect only to PIM codes, IRD is required only IF clients need the new codes for their efiling. There are several for FED/state/local added in 2017-19. Editing in the Aatrix W2 grid may accomplish the same objective. I don't know if IRD does anything other than add new codes.

So the IRD can be delayed for the install as long as it is in place for W2's? We have a 2017 client with enhancements that needs to get to update 4 before we can install the IRD. Getting confirmation from the MD's about the code for update 4.
