  • 1.  Perpetual History box unchecked

    Took a customer live last week from v2016.  They had some backup payroll companies and long story short the perpetual history check box was unchecked in the backup companies.  So in v2019 backup companies, they have no check history. If I go back in v2016 backup companies and check the box, then remigrate just the backup companies, will Check History in those companies then appear at least for that year?

    No, but if you copied over the PR_23 and PR_24 (I think those are the perpetual history files) from the live company into the backups, you would have as much history as the live company has.  But it would be weird for the backup to not be checked and the live to be checked, so am assuming there is not much history in the live company either?  There is no utility to recreate those files from anything else - they ARE the only place all of that detail is held.

    ​They must have figured it out in 2015 as C15-C19 have the box checked.  In my live company, I have history back to 2015 when they turned on the checkbox.
