My apologies for possibly asking something obvious, but I am the first to admit that the job cost module is not my strongest suit.
I've got an inherited client that has not really been using the job cost module the way it should. Job cost has never been tied to the general ledger and we're trying to actually get it linked.
I can see when completed contract is used that there is a set up for deferred revenues and billings post to that until the job is closed.
It appears to me that if percentage of completion is used that you can get reports that will show the under/overbilling of jobs.
However, it does not appear that the system will make the general ledger entries to book under/overbilling on jobs. To record that it appears you have to do the general ledger entries manually. Is that correct or am I missing something?
