  • 1.  Payroll Version Help Needed

    I have a customer using Sage 100 version 2018 PU3.  They have a lot of source code customizations.  They also have payroll version 2.20.2.  The owner is asking me to upgrade payroll.  The most current payroll version is 2.22 and it needs to have Sage 100 version 2018 PU5 or higher to be compatible. 

    The customer wants to upgrade to Sage 100 v2022 after a reasonable wait after the release date so probably late summer.  Questions: 1.  is there any benefit to upgrading payroll to a version greater than 2.20.2 and less that 2.22?  2.  What happens if we don;t upgrade payroll and just wait until we upgrade Sage 100 at the end of the summer?  3.  Is there something special in payroll 2.22 that isn't in 2.20.2 that they may need.  If so, then I will check with the third party developers for 2018 PU5 compatibility.

    Agree with Wayne, look at the what's link. The latest version of PR had "minimal" but it was IRD current.  By this time, you should be done with YE forms, so you are beyond the point of needing the IRD.  If you can get them to 2.21, that would be a reasonable upgrade.  BTW, post something in August to let us know the v2022 upgrade is going.
