Not sure if it is coincidences, me or an SOP issue - Is it just a coincidence that when installing a PR update (e.g. 2.23.0) on an ADV system that shortly afterwards the system will lock up. Usually starts when a PR menu item is clicked on. Launcher freezes. I cancel all jobs via task manager, relaunch Sage and then I get a time out error. Shortly after that, other users start locking up. We then get users out, reboot the server. Resume work in Sage. All is well.
I have installed the PR 3.23 on seven sites. I have had the freezing issues on three of five ADV installs. Two of the ADV installs I rebooted the server when I completed the update. No issues have been reported with them. I have had no issues reported with the STD installs (not rebooted).
Are others experiencing this? Are others rebooting the server as a standard upgrade process? Now that I think about this, I have had similar issues in the past. I do not think this is attributable only to the latest release.
