Payroll Changes......
it appears there was a change to how PTO is handled when the employee is approaching their accrual limit. As I recall in the legacy PR, vacation was accrued first, before subtracting for time taken on the paycheck. This would result in the full accrual not being granted as employee would max out before dipping back below the limit (which I thought was unfair). Kudos for Sage for being proactive.
But apparently, not everyone is happy.... This just in from client.
Cheryl's ending PTO paycheck 3/10/2021 was 233.82. The limit for her is 240. She had hours for this payperiod of 79.55 and accrual rate .1043 so accrued 8.30 but and used 4 hours so the system is now showing her at 238.12 when the system should be showing her at 236. It appears the system allowed her to go above the 240 limit 233.82+8.30 hours accrued less 4 hours used = 238.12. This is not how it should be working and has always been accrue up to the limit and then take away. We had no idea the system was not calculating like it had been previous and I cannot find where this is located in V2019 or V2020
Is anyone aware of a list of all changes (of this nature) made? I can think of many that weren't made, but looking for something to give clients. Will look at the What's New PDF. Perhaps it was noted.
