Also, when an employee uses a vacation, sick, or other paid time off, salaries and wages (or other expense account) get debited, and cash is credited. The accrual is never reduced. So, @Jeff Schwenk you are correct, there is no way the Time Off Accrual Report will ever tie out to the GL accrual account.

Give my regards to the Mad Hatter if you see him down there.
Yes, it's probably holier than Swiss Cheese. So, run the report at QE/YE, dollarize the hours, and make the adjustment.
There better things to stress about on Sunday mornings. Like should pull up short of the water with a 7 iron or get on the green with a 5.....

Thanks @Jeff Schwenk In addition to the wage rate differences, there are issues with unused time off that doesn't carry over to a new year or anniversary date, and unused time off for terminated employees. How is unused time off for terminated employees removed from the Time Off Accrual Report. the more I go down this rabbit hole the messier it becomes!

Unless the employees never get raises, I don't think it ever will. Dollars go into (and out of) the account each pay period. Life is good until someone gets a raise. Instead of pulling $22.50 out, they start pulling $25 out. So at year end (or every quarter), you need to make an adjusting JE based on the hours accrued and the current pay rate.
Hours accrued each pay period are stored in the Payroll History Header Table, I don't think there is a detailed Crystal report.
