Payroll Tiers - Rather than waiting for Sage to provide an FAQ, it would be wise to get out in front of this. What are questions that customers will have?

How will the number of active employees be determined? Will employees from archived payroll companies be included?

What version of Sage 100 is required to process payroll? Will version Sage 100 2014 be supported up to the release of Sage 100 2017?

Number of Active Employees - This is determined based on the number of payments (checks and direct deposit) to employees on a pay date.

What if one employee receives two checks, especially if they get two checks every pay period? Is that individual then counted twice? What if there are multiple employees in this scenario every week?

I think number of employees paid in a month across all companies is what I gathered- So terminated employees do not count since they are not getting a check now.

Number of checks run at a specific check run was brought up too...a guess that if you fired & hired in the same month and the net number of employees didn't change then you are at the same employee count.

Diane said it is not only number of checks but number of employees paid. Someone asked if they could split payroll into two batches if they were over their tier and I believe a close quote would be ""Do you think I'm that stupid?
