Just a heads up.....
Was discussing YE PR procedures with client yesterday and I mentioned that she may be seeing a lot of tax table update activity now. She mentioned she NEVER saw tax table update messages (she is the only one processing PR). I replied that is odd, maybe I do have a security setting flagged. I looked at her role and was at Admin with all roles. So I then went to the PR utility folder and clicked on the update program. A message popped indicating the last update was performed on 1/26/21. When I clicked on proceed button, a message popped that "A payroll tax update is in progress. Please try again in a few minutes". A search of the KB resulted the attached article. I changed the field as indicated and was able to then process the updates.
Might be a good idea to make your PR clients aware of this. If they aren't seeing the tax table update prompt at least monthly, they may not be updated at all.
