Good Evening!  Does anyone know of a program that will function "like QB does" to remind end users when it is time to file their payroll forms in the various states? I have had a few new implementations this year get bent out of shape that Sage 100 doesn't have this functionality - I suggested setting calendar alarms but that was not well received. Is there some enhancement or other program (does Aatrix do this and I've just missed it?) that can do this? I usually disregard the previous-system-rosy-glasses but this one keeps coming up and these people are willing to pay for development to get these reminders. Thanks for any ideas!

    Why not use Sage Alerts?

ooo! I knew SAW could definitely handle the emailing part. Do you suggest they would just set up scheduled emails like "Iowa Taxes are Due" and set it to run on the 5th of the month or something like that?

If you know the schedules, I'd use a UDT to store them, and set up one daily report (bursting) based on that data.  So much easier than managing one alert per schedule.

This is not much more than one step above creating calendar entries. I think what the customer is really wanting is a notice based on current regulations of when the tax is due. What you would be doing here would be static. I'd give them the option of adding them free to their calendars because I bet my customers would ask why I charged them $x,xxx to set this up when they could have just used their Outlook calendar.

I haven't looked into these too deeply (this second link appears to be more for notices, and outages), but it seems like maybe a good place to start? The IRS wants their money... and is happy to send out reminders in the form of emails. :)
