  • 1.  Payroll Health Insurance Decuction

    PR version 2.19.3  - The health insurance deduction is entered manually for each employee that has requested it.  The deduction amount can be different for each employee.  The deduction amount should reduce gross earnings for the payroll tax calculation.  How should this be set up?  The configuration I am using is not working.

    I use -805158 Section 125 EE Deduction for the tax rule,  Since you selected Cafeteria plan for the deduction type, I'm assuming you want pre-tax.

    Welcome to the world of documentation.  For my first migration, I spent numerous hours through trial and error before I got the correct tax rule codes.  Even the "enhanced" help text was limited.  It was a B*T*H!!!!  Now that I have a handful of migrations under my belt, I just referred back to those when assigning the rules now.  Once done, I import the last PR from prior system and compare totals.  If they match, I can sleep comfortably at night and the go live can commence.
