  • 1.  Payroll EPSL Not Calculating Medicare Tax

    Sage 2019.2 PR 2.20.2

    Client is reporting that Earnings Code EPSL is no longer calculating Medicare Tax. She re-ran Quarterly Tax Report for 6/30 (compared it with a copy of the report she ran at the time) and the amount for Medicare Tax has been reduced by the amount of Medicare Tax that should have been calculated.

    Anyone know of an issue with this? I couldn't find anything on the Sage KB.

    In researching this further, I think the problem is the Quarterly Tax Report does not show the Medicare Tax amount for EPSL.

    The report shows a separate page for Soc Sec (FSOCEPSLSWH Federal Social Security Tax EPSLS Withholding) but it does not have a corresponding page for Medicare.

    Is this a known issue?
