Sage Payroll 2.20 is now available on the Knowledgebase. We found no mention of fixing the wrong federal withholding issue for checks dated 12/31/2019 or 1/1/2020 on any documentation or our open case. For what it is worth, based on our testing only, the wrong withholding based on the check date issue appears to be
fixed! Our internal testing for checks in 2020 using Payroll 2.20 with the traditional withholding methods worked as expected. However, using the new W-4 withholding fields did not seem to withhold at the amounts we expected and we cannot get it to tie out to withholding documentation. Again, this is only based on our testing so if others test the new W-4 withholding methods with check processing, please advise.
