Payroll 2018 - federal head of household is no longer a filing status option. What are you mapping head of household to, single, or married?

Single???? Head of household is an unmarried status with a qualifying person that can be claimed as an exemption. But did this go away with the 2018 tax changes? I would map to single and have client get an official determination.

@JeffSchwenk Thanks for the input. I believe head of household is typically a single person with one or more dependents. However, a married person can file as head of household if they have a dependent and file separately from their spouse. I am not sure why Sage 100 v2018 doesn't have a federal head of household filing status.

Agree. It would be nice if there were a help KB on when to use which option, but I guess it is too hard.
