Payroll 2018 client is looking to run the deduction report by date rather than by period. In the legacy version, you could run a perpetual deduction report. Anyone have a solution, or am I looking at creating a new report?

Try the check history report with only the Show Deductions box checked. Sage has pretty much made that the go to report for anything related to check/earning/deduction details and history.

Run the Check History Report by Check Date. Note that every employees' totals will be on the report. If you want to only see the applicable deduction amounts, add Report Record Selection in the report.
