  • 1.  PayPal with website (InSync and APS)

    We're reaching out to ROI, but have a customer asking about PayPal on their Website (which uses APS and InSync).  Credit card transactions are fine with APS, but they don't do PayPal.

    Does anyone have a working website with PayPal and InSync?  What does the integration look like (i.e. how do the payments flow into Sage)?

    From a customer who uses ROI and accepts Paypal:

    We do accept Paypal through our site, Insynch will populate the deposit amount/type as Paypal, but we still have to manually login to the Paypal account and capture the final payment.

    We setup a GL Acct for Paypal "bank" account. We reconcile the account for fees when we transfer a bulk $ amount from Paypal to our reg. checking account.

    This is an old post but present day I have customer that has Insync and Paypal. The payments are posted in Sage when they update the SO sales journal (a debit to cash rather than AR). Problem is there's no integration with bank rec. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar situation and found a workaround to get into BR. Thanks!

    You need to have the payments posted to a clearing account instead of directly to cash.  Then when the cash is transferred from Paypal to the bank, do a cash receipt entry using Cash as the customer and reference the clearing account on the Lines tab.
