A customer that uses Paya is looking for a recommendation for a credit card chip reader / scanner.  Any recommendations or opinions?

Did they call Paya???  First place I would start.

I have been working with APS installing chip readers for a client.  For APS, the software is still in "beta" mode.  Apparently, my client is only the third one to step up to a chip reader.  The installation is a LOT more complicated than a simple swipe device.  Device is configured for a specific workstation (eliminating the ability to simply move it).

    Jeff,
Are those workstations running the Sage client directly, or connecting through a terminal server?  (We have a customer who's been asking us for years to find a way to get chip readers working for their remote locations).

Directly.  Had to return the chip readers for the remote locations once APS became aware that the connection was via RDP.

Might just be easiest to reach out to Paya.  I provided the following to a client last month, in case it's of any further help here:

Regarding your existing credit card swiper(s), Paya stated that if it's an encrypted swiper (i.e. with encryption services), it should work with Sage 100.  If you're unsure, apparently you can try to reach out to where you purchased it from or contact the manufacturer.  Sounds like they may be able to tell by the serial #.  Additionally you could try reaching out to Paya (888-760-0962) in case they're able to assist.
