Hello Sage""; I think ""Hello Kitty"" might have stronger marketing potential :)

I'm not really sure what the purpose of this call was. The only thing I learned was Sage has no idea why someone would use Payment Center and that partners can get money for bringing customers to Summit.

Is Payment Center a rebrand or replacement to Sage Mobile Payments that was released with the all so, not, successful Sage Mobile solutions?

@MoiraGoggin, from https://90minds-com.socialcast.com/messages/30249374?ref=stream: I just spent some time looking into what Sage Payment Center is all about, and I agree with @WayneSchulz's above comment. Released with v2016.1, it appears it's just a fresh coat of paint to Virtual Terminal. As far as I can tell it's no different than the existing Virtual Terminal, except maybe the interface is different and it can be launched directly from within Sage 100 rather than manually going to the Sage Payments / VT url. The one piece though I'm not so clear on is, ""Payments taken anywhere are automatically recorded in Sage 100"".

Additional info re: **Sage Payment Center (SPC)** - from today's Sage Webcast: Apparently the Sage Payment Center collateral/literature will be coming soon (""hopefully next week"", they said). It was also stated that there's documentation (or soon will be) for setting up the feature for posting credit card transactions to Sage 100 (A/R Cash Receipts Entry?) that are processed outside of Sage 100, e.g., via a mobile device out in the field. Can now apply for SPS Credit Card Processing inside Sage 100 whereas up til now we had to refer the client to the SPS folks. Re: ""partner versions of SPS"", they did not know whether that works or not with SPC. I will follow up with Tom Nanci at Sage.

@BrettZimmerman I'm confused about the payments taken anywhere portion as well. I'm guessing that taken anywhere means via their Virtual Terminal somehow and that maybe Sage has a way to bring those into cash receipts. I'm surprised that Sage talks so much about how they are excited to have Sage Payment Center but then don't have any information about it. Today's session was mostly reading off the PPT by what seems to be a new more enthusiastic marketing team.

Thanks for the info @BrettZimmerman. The 'taken anywhere' could mean better mobile cc processing. One of my customer has 'rented' a wireless credit card terminal from SPS in the past when they are taking payments at trade shows.

Tom at Sage doesn't see why the ""partner versions of SPS"" wouldn't work with Sage Payment Center (SPC). But he did say that SPC requires IE 11 (and I think he said the latest version of Chrome), and he also said something about the latest OS of Server 2012 and 2008. @WayneSchulz, @MoiraGoggin, I'll be interested to review the documentation for setting up the feature for posting credit card transactions to Sage 100 (A/R Cash Receipts Entry?) that are processed outside of Sage 100, e.g., via a mobile device out in the field. I'm checking back with Tom re: that documentation.

I wasn't able to get any documentation on the Sage Payment Center feature for posting cc trans back to Sage 100, but this brief video gives an overview: https://youtu.be/IISRDzTMRYs

It seems that if integration to Sage Exchange is included that it's not a new feature but one that was designed into the Sage Exchange / VT. It still seems to me that what Sage 100 has done is add an embedded VT to the Sage 100 launcher but no new functionality aside from what exists with Sage Exchange/VT.
