  • 1.  Participation in Sage Payroll Beta before release

    I was on a Sage 100 Product Advisory call this morning, where we talked about the Payroll issues we are having after the COVID updates.  We proposed possibly providing our services to test any Payroll enhancements/releases​ before they are released to the general public.  The issues with the COVID-19 earnings have caused quite a bit of grief and extra work for us, and while I understand Sage wants to get programs out to the clients right away, it really doesn't help if those new programs create unbillable time for us trying to fix problems.  (Not to mention it causes clients to wonder if Sage Payroll is the right payroll for them.)  If anyone is interested in helping Sage test the Payroll enhancements before they are released, please email Linda.Weber@sage.com and let her know you would like to be added to the Payroll "testing" list.  @Michelle Taylor, @Shari Eckersley- don't make me to this alone!​​​

    Yes, a return to the good old days of beta testing would be nice.  @Beth Bowers​​ and I would often enjoy the nice lunch given to the beta testers at Visions/Insights/Summit until that was eliminated in a cost cutting move.  Though I would like to forget the v4.1 release fiasco.  And a hats off the framework PR pioneer testers!  That had to have been THE most difficult rewrite and beta test EVER!  My hats off to those that got us this far!

    I fear we are losing the battle of time.  My clients are growing frustrated with the lack of a hotfix this week.
