  • 1.  Paperless Office page size error

    We have a customer running Sage 100 v 2020 on an Applianz EazyApp system.  One user is having an interesting issue.  When this user opts to print to Paperless Office the system will save the PDF as if it was printed off of some sort of label printer.  The attachment PLO_Print_Sample_2.png is an example of this.

    If the user changes the printer when printing then the result looks normal.  PLO_Print_Sample_2.png is an example of this.

    For some reason this is only happening to the one user.  I have tried changing the "Default Printer" in the EazyApp but it reverts to a local redirected printer each time she logs in.

    I have contacted Applianz but thought that I would put this up here in case anyone else has ever run across this oddity.

    Check Crystal Reports, Page Setup.  Check the No Printer box so the form doesn't use a specific printer.

    Paperless Office uses the Windows Default printer for page size... it doesn't matter what the report settings say.  We've seen this on auto-posting with Task Scheduler and the server's default printer being changed.  Very frustrating, because it wasn't noticed for many weeks, and there is no way to reproduce those journals / registers in retrospect.

    I haven't used it personally, but do hear good things about TSPrint as a way to solve printing issues for remote sessions.  (I have no idea if it would work in this case).
