Paperless office issue - have a client that moved the old PDF's from 4.3 to 4.5 today( didn't think he needed them when we did the conversion ) and then we used the Link Maintenance Utility to relink . Can open the PDF in LMU but not in paperless office. Any thoughts on how I can get it to show up in the paperless viewer?

Were the PDFs copied to the new location using Windows copy as well as using the LMU? Do they not show up at all in the Viewer, or do they show up with the old path?

Hello @BarbaraGoldstein he used moved in he 4.3 and then we used the utility( we also have tried to copy using windows but nothing is working). They only show up and can be opened in the LMU. None of them show up in the viewer for the old ones we are trying to bring over and it is for inventory only if that makes a difference (shouldn't)...

Have you tried this? I've seen several ways to move PL, and I'm not clear if one or any work all the time.

Ok just heard back from client and now he says he has no journals and registers in the current Sage 100 ...he had to leave and you know he didn't make a back up like I tell him to do all the time. I guess he is going to let me work on it now!!!

Sound like you may need to reconvert on a dummy system and them copy over the PLXXX.mdt files from the MAS_System folder.

I have a quick utility to rename the PDF location folder on the viewer doc's. I just need the old location and the new one.

I think there is a mis understanding on what I am trying to do. I am trying to add more pdf's to the current pdf journal viewer. When we did the conversion in May he didn't want to bring the PDF's over, so he moved only the years he wanted. With that said he forgot to move Jan - April over for inventory. So we are trying to bring over just the missing inventory pdf to the viewer. The LMU see's the new ones but the viewer does not. You know how the saying goes pay me now or pay me later!
