Paperless office creates a separate PDF for every Journal entry. I have client that has paperless office turned on for Journals and registers when they enter General Ledger > General Journal entries, it creates a separate PDF document for every entry. is there a way to combine these? they need to do about 40 journal entries today. I'm not seeing any setting in GL options or Paperless office - has anyone else found away to combine those into one PDF document?

    Are they using batches?

I don't think they are - I tested in ABC company which does not have batches turned on. I'll do a quick test and see if that makes a difference

This is a WAD feature. The only work around I have seen to allow them to update from a preview for GL entries. They can preview and all the JE's will appear collectively. Since you can reprint individual JE's, this is acceptable to most clients. The ONLY reason I can think of for this ""feature"" is the associated PDF feature which allows you to attached a PDF to the JE. In this case, they could attach the supporting documents to the individual entry.

Thanks all - turning on batches did not make a difference. Updating from preview did not seem to create the PDF's though. this client just upgraded and is just starting to use paperless - they may just turn it off for GL.

I looked at this thread because I agree with David. Having to review and close multiple sheets is cumbersome when updating multiple GL entries. Not sure I like updating from preview - bad precedent.

Updating from preview doesn't generate the forms. Also, if you print from Preview and update, it won't create the PDFs bypassing Paperless.

Ok, everyone, time to go to the polls to run up the tally. So far, ""only"" 63 people have voted for this one. Roberta V submitted this over a year ago but she is referencing v4.3 so you can do the math on this one. Be careful of the dust buildup. https://www11.v1ideas.com/SageERP/MAS90and200/Idea/Detail/488

I'm sure the extra 2 votes will peak Sage's interest and it will be fixed shortly.

@DavidOverholt - Hell will freeze over faster, but what the heck. Gives us some ammo the next time we hear them claim to read the idea web sit....

Damn, I must have voted a long time ago. It would be nice to have a way to do this but it seems where Sage has chosen to combine PDFs in a Journal run, it has been prone to skipping some of the reports.

Okay, I have a customer who just upgraded to 2014. They are using batch entry but when he has more than one journal entry in a batch, he gets one PDF for the batch with all entries and then a second PDF with only one entry (so far, he has only done batches with two entries). He thinks it is dropping an entry. Is batch entry supposed to alleviate the multiple PDF's and if so, why is he getting multiple PDF's but not for each entry???
