Paperless issue - Windows 7 64-bit, MAS 90 4.5.2.0. WKSETUP was installed by ""Run as Administrator"". Originally printing registers hung until I changed the port to ""Sage"". Now, the message when trying to send a journal to PL is ""There was an error opening this document. This file is already open or in use by another application"". The workstation has Adobe Distiller X and Acrobat X Standard. Before I sink much time into additional uninstall/reinstall operations, does anyone know if having either of these apps could be the source of the problem?

I had this issue recently with a paperless forms (trying to send statements) and cleared it with a reboot. May not be the same issue but when the system crashed (paperless) it appeared to have a lock on a paperless form which despite being created multiple times (statement) still used the same file name.

@DebbieBeach, Yes I did. @WayneSchulz, I don't remember if I rebooted along the way, but I'll have her do it again to make sure.

If you look at the shortcut properties, does it show the mapped drive or the UNC? If the mapped drive won't stick, I can give you list of what worked at my client's yesterday with their IT guy on site.

@DebbieBeach: Funny you should ask. I've never done this before, but the workstations are setup using UNC path, not mapped drive (client's IT dept. doesn't want to use mapped drives - but that's another story . . . or maybe not). The XP and Vista workstations are working fine. So, yes, I'm interested in your list.

IT people never believe...I had to go a few rounds with him yesterday. If this is 4.4 or earlier, you need to install appropriate 4.4PDFDriverUdate.exe to ..\MAS90 folder on server On workstation, uninstall any Sage MAS90 workstation setups in Control Panel Disable Windows 7 UAC (will most liikely require help from IT as user probably does not have permissions) Restart workstation Check to see if server drive is still mapped Install both wksetup.exe and wksupdate90.exe as administrator (sometimes requires logging in as administrator) Your printer Sage PDF Converter properties should still be ok, but check That worked for me yesterday.

I have found with WIN 7 installs (64 OS especially) , the Paperless port gets reset to NULL everytime you reinstall the workstation. Be careful on the reinstall.

Well, we may never know how, but I got an email back from the client that their IT guy got it working.
